From the Plaza and the church, the Calle Real is the main thread of our steps. Along this former main street we find the most varied constructions, looking for their place in the irregularity of the mountain, with the materials that the land gives us.
The Plaza de la Cruz Verde is a sensitive point in our passage, but on both sides of the main street, we find a myriad of narrow streets with wonderful corners. It is precisely the most inaccessible places that have best preserved the ancient essences.
You can also go down to the Plaza de las Hoyuelas and see firsthand the height of the hill where Castañar sits its most historic part.
